NCDF exists to create space for spearos and freedivers to connect and develop their sport.
NCDF, which began as a way for veteran spearos to split gas and share stories, has grown into an invaluable local resource for helping educate and connect people interested in freediving and spearfishing. Club members follow our core values of selectivity, sustainability, and safety.
We provide a paid-for free diving class to
one lucky applicant each year!

NCDF 2024 Catch & Cook
North County Depth Finders will be hosting a cookout/potluck-style event on August 25 (Sunday) at 4 pm.
Please bring shareable ready-to-eat meals, preferably made of what you caught, hunted, or harvested (seafood, game, veggies, shrooms, etc.).
Bring your own drinks (and drink responsibly). Selected members will be processing (filleting) and preparing the fish and a couple of other meals during the event. Grills and the stove will be available, please communicate ahead of time if you are planning to use them. Water, ice, and tableware will be provided.
Significant others are welcome. RSVP is mandatory and has to be submitted no later than 8/22 (the venue will be selected based on the number of participants). The event will be hosted in San Diego (either Pt. Loma or Carmel Valley area). The address will be confirmed later.

Monthly Meetings
Our meetings are 2nd Thursdays at Pour House in South Oceanside from 7-9pm. All are welcome so bring a friend and be sure to support the restaurant by ordering food or a drink. We give updates on events, raffle spearfishing goodies, give out club gear and share info to help you become a better diver.
